The International Digital Investigation Awards 2020 (IDIA) was about to be held live at the International Communications Data and Digital Forensics event in March 2020 just as the country went into a National Lockdown. With everything prepped and ready, we had hoped to be able to deliver the event later in the year, but sadly as the year went on, so did the Lockdown and the restrictions on meeting face to face.

Blue Lights Digital Ltd took the opportunity to work together with AHTOH, a UK production company, to film the nominees and to develop a recorded event that could be broadcasted to ensure that the celebration could still go ahead. We worked with the talented comedian and ex-police officer Alfie Moore as our presenter for the event, creating an engaging, entertaining and humorous event.

This is the short trailer and introduction to the event from Matt Service, CEO of Blue Lights Digital and our host for the Awards, Alfie Moore, former police officer and star of the BBC Radio 4 comedy series “It’s a Fair Cop”.

In March 2021, almost a year later than first planned, the IDIA finally aired. We were delighted to be able to showcase the incredible achievements from across a variety of law enforcement communities and celebrate the winners’ successes.

We would like to congratulate all of our Winners and the Highly Commended for their amazing contributions and to say thank you for their continued efforts in fighting crime and safeguarding the vulnerable.
